David Burnett, CPA


David began his work as a Public Accountant with Le Master and Daniels working primarily with over 50 tribes in the Northwest. David then served as the Executive Director for the Coeur D’Alene Tribe and later for the Squaxin Island tribe; successfully directing economic growth and development for both. David presently serves as the Chairman of the Chehalis Tribe in Chehalis, WA.  Under his leadership, the Chehalis Tribe partnered with Great Wolf Resorts and successfully completed the Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, WA. David’s work as Tribal Chairman focuses on establishing and enhancing new tribal businesses, and in expanding infrastructure and services to the Chehalis Tribe as well. CAPSTONE Trust is clearly fortunate to have someone with the leadership and financial acumen that David possesses. His service as a Director is invaluable as he helps to ensure the protection of client interests and the overall health and well-being of the company.

David earned his B.A. in Accounting from Central Washington University (1986) and holds the marks of Certified Public Accountant.

David is active in the community serving as a board member for the Grays Harbor Community Foundation. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Community Economic Revitalization Board and Chehalis Basin Workgroup–both by gubernatorial appointment. David also serves as the treasurer of his local church. He is married to his wife of 30 years, has 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
